"Alejandro" Open for interpretation

I believe that many people have taken this video for face value and to literal. Actually, those of you who know anything about Gay rights will know that one of the major objections to gays is because of religion. Many religious people claim that being Gay is “Unholy” and wrong. There are a few details in this video that have disturbed many, because they consider it to be disrespectful towards religion. For example when Gaga places the cross in her mouth; I believe it represents a parallel to the phrase; “ Put your money where your mouth is” basically if you are going to use religion as an excuse to be hateful, towards gay people live by religion yourself and don’t be a hypocrite. Also the up side down cross represents a corrupted religious system. I find it ironic because some religious people claim that being gay is to be corrupted; when unfortunately religion has corruption in itself. I don’t believe Gaga had any intentions to be disrespectful, in her “Gaga way”; I believe the weird, almost scary video represents what “Homofobics” view Gay society as; weird and demonic when in reality they are people with feelings, families, jobs, careers, lives just like anybody else. In other words, we should all look in the mirror first and analyze our own lives and actions before placing judgment on another. Anyways if it was actually possible to live by the bible in its entirety than those opposing parties should not be judgmental towards gay marriage, for which the bible says; “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1).

But then again I could be wrong but that’s the beauty of the Arts it’s open for interpretation. J
